Bye Batesville, AR...HELLO Bahama's
As I am on my way to the Memphis airport my heart is beating with anticipation. The three hour flight total from Memphis to Atlanta, and then from Atlanta to Nassu was dreadful. I can still taste the Delta Airline peanuts in my mouth. The taste of the canned coke I had on ice and the freshly baked cookies with the imprint of the Delta symbol. As I get off the plane and into the air of the sweet aroma of the cool crisp air of the beach a couple miles away. We get into the taxi and take a ride to our condo. When we got there I remember it perfectly just like it was yesterday, my sister and step-brother ran to the doors and opened them for us. While the doorman's people carry our bags up the stairs and we opened the condo door you could see the ocean right below. I could hear the waves crashing against the rocks. The little children running around and splashing in the water. We went down to the beach and I could hear the swooping sounds of all the hundreds of seagulls. I touch the palm trees, their rough trunks and some what prickly leaves. As we are on our dolphin swim, I see the dolphins jumping up and doing all kinds of tricks. And I look around and see all of the hotels, tons of them, all gathered in together. The dolphin swim was over after an hour or so, so we all went and got a freshly made Pina-Coloda's, they are the best. And then I look up to my mom and step-dad and tell them this is going to be the best vacation anyone could ever have. And I thanked them once again for bringing us.

Topix?
TOPIX?
What is with all the drama? If everybody in this small town we call Batesville say they hate drama then why do they start on the internet? Instead of saying it in person?
Drama? Everybody has it? But in little towns like we live in, such as Batesville, word gets around; drama gets to every single person. Well my title is called topix for a reason, why? Well, because there is worldwide website called Topix.com. It is where everybody gets on there and starts a forum and it has a title like there is one of many pages for Batesville. Here is an example and it says “biggest hoe in town” and a bunch of people will add their comment about the topic. Well, you can type your zip code and it will come up for your town. So therefore you can go and start a bunch of drama on the internet. It’s stupid if you ask me. If people say they do not like drama, then why do they do this kind of stuff?
In conclusion, I think that these kind of websites need to stop. Because, everybody gets worked up on other peoples thoughts. It’s not what other people think about you, it’s what you think. They aren’t you? So why should they start talking a bunch of stuff about you?

ONLY PRETTIER?
In this song, it really gets to me, because I thought about it, and really understood it. And then thinking of what other people would say about it, could be a little tough or I guess in other words harsh.
We're just like you..Only Prettier? Does this really matter? In high school, everything is about the looks, what you wear, who you are around. Everybody thinks that if your not all that and everything above..then your not good enough, or not popular enough to talk to. Well why? Everybody needs to understand that its not what you wear, not what you look like, how dumb, how smart or anything else. Have you ever heard the saying "Never judge a book by its cover" well people are like that. Some may look like they aren't popular or not cool enough to talk to, but inside they can be the sweetest thing. The other thing in high school is all about the RELATIONSHIPS, which gets dramatic. Girls are always trying to win over the boys, and the boys are always trying to win over the girl. And then all the drama comes along. I just wish high school or junior high wasn't so dramatic. But then again we are all teenagers. Also in the song it says "everybody says you got to know your enemies, even if they only weigh a hundred pounds and stand five foot three." High school, you always have enemies, the saying says "keep your friends close, but your enemies closer." Well..sometimes in high school things are said that weren't suppose to get around the school but it did, which makes you dislike or make that person an enemy. That part of the song is saying even though they might be littler or bigger, they still can be enemies. I think everybody just needs to realize how tough life can be, whether you popular or not. People are people and they have feelings too.
All I guess I have to say, is songs these days, really connect to our lives. And I'm glad some people notice it.
