Bye Batesville, AR...HELLO Bahama's
As I am on my way to the Memphis airport my heart is beating with anticipation. The three hour flight total from Memphis to Atlanta, and then from Atlanta to Nassu was dreadful. I can still taste the Delta Airline peanuts in my mouth. The taste of the canned coke I had on ice and the freshly baked cookies with the imprint of the Delta symbol. As I get off the plane and into the air of the sweet aroma of the cool crisp air of the beach a couple miles away. We get into the taxi and take a ride to our condo. When we got there I remember it perfectly just like it was yesterday, my sister and step-brother ran to the doors and opened them for us. While the doorman's people carry our bags up the stairs and we opened the condo door you could see the ocean right below. I could hear the waves crashing against the rocks. The little children running around and splashing in the water. We went down to the beach and I could hear the swooping sounds of all the hundreds of seagulls. I touch the palm trees, their rough trunks and some what prickly leaves. As we are on our dolphin swim, I see the dolphins jumping up and doing all kinds of tricks. And I look around and see all of the hotels, tons of them, all gathered in together. The dolphin swim was over after an hour or so, so we all went and got a freshly made Pina-Coloda's, they are the best. And then I look up to my mom and step-dad and tell them this is going to be the best vacation anyone could ever have. And I thanked them once again for bringing us.
